Welcome to Opening Day!

The thunder might be pounding down outside with the rain falling, but I'm as excited about Opening Day now as I was when I was a little kid. I can't wait to see the Cubs take the field. All the talk of the offseason, predictions and spring training banter is over....it counts now. We've got a memorable--and dare I say it historic-- season of baseball ahead of us this year boys!

 

To get us in the mood, what's your favorite opening day memory? I loved the first day onslaught against the Mets a few years ago, and of course Tuffy's 3 HR game.

Favorite Opening Day memory? That probably has to be the Home oppener last year. Granted, we lost, but I was in attendance and it was crazy fun. As for me, I didn't sleep for crap last night. I'm just waiting for my shower to open up so i can get going....speak of the devil...sounds like he's getting out now. Sweet.

Probably 1994 (even though the Cubs lost), when they got home runs from Tuffy Rhodes, Tuffy Rhodes, and Tuffy Rhodes. It looked like they suddenly had another power hitter. He then hit only five more dingers the rest of the year.
