Hamilton Happy with the Rangers

March 23, 2008

Scouts in Arizona are singing the praises of Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton, who could be positioned for a monster season. Hamilton, acquired from the Reds for young starter Edinson Volquez, entered the weekend hitting .556 with a 1.572 OPS. He reached base in 13 consecutive plate appearances (10 hits, three walks) at one point.

Hamilton, who revived his career after drug-abuse problems, credits his hitting to his new teammates for making him feel comfortable. Hamilton says none of his professional teammates had ever invited him to join them for meals before this spring. He has been a frequent visitor to Ian Kinsler's apartment to watch TV and play video games.

"It's all I've ever wanted," Hamilton said. "And I've found it to be that way with all the guys. They've been receptive and treated me as an equal."

Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

That's hilarious.

Oh, and this is sarcasm.

Sorry. Didn't think it'd be that big a deal given the recent miscommunication. My bad

I know a couple that refer to it as "playing playstation", and that's the first thing I thought of when reading that
