NSBB day at Wrigley: May 10

There's a good chance that Fred +1 won't make it at all. We're broke down in Rawlins, WY and it looks like this could be serious. About the only reasonable chance of making the game will if they should diagnose the problem in the next few hours as being something serious enough to drag on into next week, in which case, we'll rent a car and head home. This is the third week in a row that we've been stuck in Wyoming. (The first 2 were on account of weather, but still...) I've come to the conclusion that I don't like Wyoming so much.

 

Memo to Vance...... I got yer Fukudome headband.... right here !!!

And I hope you make it back by Sunday because we have some really sweet seats for that day!

 

Well.... the shop we were towed into is open now. They're pulling my truck in now, and I really hope they'll be able to give me a diagnosis by noon. In that event, if it's really serious, we'll just take the rent-a-car option, and should be home for the game. (We're only 1100 miles away). If it's not all that serious, we'll just have to stick it out here, and then wait for dispatch to come up with a load for us. No telling when I'll get in with that scenario. Hopefully, I'll know fairly soon.

Well, folks, have fun. I'm going to be heading out in about half an hour/40 minutes which should put me at wrigley around 11. I'll be at McDonalds getting some breakfast (if they're still serving it...) for a while before entering the park at like 11:30. So if anyone sees me feel free to say hi.

Despite my night of drinking, I am now awake and since I have nothing else to do, I'll head to the park shortly. If any of you that are coming can get there before the gates open, we should be able to grab some on the front row.

Great game, can't complain about the weather given today's, wish we could have hung out after Giordano's, but my sweet doggies were relieved that I came home to let them out. Just for curiousity's sake, which one? By the suites, or by the main gate? I wish I would have said hello, but I wasn't sure and my business group was moving rather quickly. The business thing unfortunately prevented me from meeting all the rest of the board people as well.
