Well at least now I can stop hearing about how the Jags have a solid chance to win.

It was disturbing. There was never a solid path to victory for the Jags, in Foxboro, against the greatest team the NFL has seen in a long time.

Who is that Marcellus guy on ESPN? He was all over the place last week, "Jags have a great chance to win this game!" No, they didn't. It was starting to annoy me after awhile. They had *small* chance, not a solid chance. The kind of small chance that requires the favorite to play a terrible game to open the door for you.

It was tied at halftime and within 1 score nearly the entire game. The Jaguars obviously had a solid chance to win. Deep down I knew the Patriots would probably win, but its not like the Jaguars were terribly outmatched

Yeah, Tom Brady had one of the best games by a QB in NFL history and the Jaguars were still in it until about 4-5 minutes to go. I think it's faulty logic to say the Pats would've had to play terrible to lose that game.

I don't get the Patriots hate....other stuff

Cheating, running up the score, a-hole coach that brushes off opposing coaches and fines players for attending their grandfather's funeral, dirty players that reach in someone's helmet and try to gauge their eyes (Giants game), a-hole players like Harrison and Bruschi that constantly take cheap shots, crybaby Moss, the media talking them off, and yes, a QB that takes beastiality pics and then tries to play the role of one of the "bad boys" of the NFL.

Those are probably the main reasons.

The media talking them off? I'm not sure what that means. If you mean talking a lot about them, I'm not sure what you expect. They went undefeated. They are probably going to mention them once or twice.

The rest of it is hater stuff, really. How does Brady try to be a "bad boy?" Moss has been the farthest thing from a cry baby this year. I don't really see Bruschi taking any cheap shots. lol @ running up the score. This is the NFL.

I do hate Harrison, though. He's a dirty player.

They are the most entertaining team in the sport. We are watching greatness, people. Let's try to enjoy it.

Somebody should probably lower a hard shoulder right into Tedy Bruschi's chest and see how he responds. Or drive with the facemask of the helmet

Cheating

They paid for that.

running up the score

This is the damn NFL, not Florida vs. Western Carolina. Everyone's playing on the same playing field in the pros.

a-hole coach that brushes off opposing coaches and fines players for attending their grandfather's funeral

Pretty sure that wasn't the Patriots that fined someone for going to a funeral. And I have yet to see Belichick be an outright jackass to anybody. Frosty perhaps, but not outright jackass.

dirty players that reach in someone's helmet and try to gouge their eyes (Giants game)

Because no other NFL team ever gets into shoving matches or confrontations of any kind.

a-hole players like Harrison and Bruschi that constantly take cheap shots

I don't recall one cheap shot by Tedy Bruschi. Ever.

crybaby Moss

What exactly are you talking about? I've seen a lot of Patriots game and haven't seen one instance of Moss being anything but a damn good receiver this season.

the media talking them off

THEY'RE 17-0 AND HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY TESTED EXACTLY THREE TIMES. WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU WANT THEM TO SAY ABOUT THE PATRIOTS???

and yes, a QB that takes beastiality pics and then tries to play the role of one of the "bad boys" of the NFL.

It's spelled bestiality, that's not funny anyway, and Brady doesn't try to play any role except quarterback of the Patriots from what I've seen.

Those are probably the main reasons.

And this post is why I hate Colts fans. That and the ridiculous blackout rules that causes me to miss games I want to watch so we can all see Indy blow out the Texans again.

Its from Arrested Development....get your mind in the gutter. I'm pretty sure Tom Brady was quoted as saying he likes having the "bad boy" image. Randy Moss hasn't been a cry baby this year, but I still dislike him for being a crybaby the rest of his career. I think there's plenty of reason to legitimately think Belichick is an a-hole. I'm not saying you have to hate the Patriots, but I think there's pretty decent reasons to dislike them.

They paid for their cheating...it still happened. I don't care what league it is, I don't like running up the score. Yes, Belicheck fined someone for attending their grandfather's funeral. Moss from years past. I thought the "bestiality" comment was funny. Move to Carolina.

Yeah, I guess I understand it to an extent. But it just seems so pervasive this year. Like they are the Commie-Nazis and are playing the Captain Americas every week. I don't really remember similar sentiments last year. I think most people hate them because they are good. I know this kind of thing happens a lot but I don't really understand it.

Also, I'm a fan of a team that is in no way a rival to the Patriots. I can see how if you were a Colts fan or a Jets fan or something your feelings might be different.

I'm a fan of a team who lost to them by 3 in a freakin Super Bowl and I don't have a big problem with them. Sometimes I think everyone hates the Patriots, but in reality other than blind Colts/Jets/other rivals fans I don't think such a great many people do. Certainly fewer than hated the Bulls in their heyday.

I think it's interesting that a few year ago, everyone loved them. Announced in the Super Bowl as a team, embodiment of teamwork, etc etc. Now that the upstart has become the establishment, if you will, everyone hates and resents them. It's largely the same team.

It's kind of an interesting thing. That's all I was saying here. I wasn't really intending the call anyone out or anything.

Not to mention that Maroney had his second best game of the year - the only one better coming in Week 16 vs. Miami - as well. The Jaguars really could have used a turnover and they just didn't get one.

Oh, and I didn't realize that Brady only had two incompletions the entire game and one of those, Welker flat out dropped.

I've hated them since they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. And on the whole running up the score thing... that's lame. No one is expecting them to take a knee on every play when they're up big. But they shouldn't just air it out when they're up by 3 TD's in the fourth quarter. That's classless.

Come on Marvin. Got to hold onto that ball.

Gee, I seem to remember Tampa Bay being up 3 scores with 4 minutes left against the Colts a couple years ago. The Colts then won the game. Any team up 3 scores that just lays down and tries to run the clock out deserves to lose. Hate the Pats for being better than your team or because you dont' like the way Tom Brady looks or something, but don't hate them for playing to win the damn game.

I dont blame Turner for being pissed, as none of the replays showed a penalty.

You mean the Colt dragged down in the middle of the field wasn't a penalty in your eyes? Even the announcer said that Norv Turner had no room to complain after seeing the replay.
