Cubs get Eithier (from Dodgers) and Roberts (from Orioles)

Dodgers get Tejada (from Orioles) and Veal (from Cubs)

Orioles get Cedeno, Marshall, Patterson (from Cubs) and Laroche (from Dodgers)

I'm having trouble finding any teams that we match up with one-to-one, so I try to get another team involved.

Actually, the Orioles match up with us very well. They want to get younger and they need a closer, a CF, a corner OF and middle of the rotation help. If Tejada leaves they'll want a young SS. We have trading chips in all of these areas.

I think we all know MacPhail overvalues prospects he was involved in drafting when he was here. He may be willing to overpay for Marshall, Cedeno, and EPatt. I think we need to do what we can to exploit him. I wouldn't be surprised if we could put together a package and fleece them out of Bedard.

The Dodgers are desperate for a big bat and a 3B (Tejada). The Cubs are one of the few teams that would consider Tejada as a SS.

I like your koolaide, but MacPhail isn't crazy. With the offers he is getting for Bedard, nobody is going to "fleece" MacPhail on Bedard.

It still doesn't leave out the possibility of MacPhail wanting some of those guys back. "Fleecing" might be out of the question but getting more for our prospects than most teams would give us is not.
