Matt Kemp-OF- Dodgers Nov. 14 - 10:25 am et

According to the San Diego Union Tribune, "the Padres are contemplating three-team trade scenarios" for Matt Kemp.

It's unclear what the Padres could possibly offer in a trade that nets them Kemp unless Jake Peavy is truly on the block, although Chase Headley would be a start.

Anything we could get in on?

why are the dodgers so intent on trading him?

And to a division rival.

That's what happens when your GM and owner listen to Jeff Kent.

If the Padres have nothing to trade they could offer to take Pierre. We could do that too.

well pierre had a batting average near .300 to go with 60 steals, so coletti probably is happy with the signing.

Na, the Dodgers have said they haven't ruled out moving Pierre to LF. The fact that they are even considering that tells me they must be having second thoughts about that contract. There are also reports that Ned wants Andruw Jones.

The fact that they are thinking of moving Pierre to left, is proof enough that they are completely [expletive].

"So, man we don't really like that Juan Pierre kid"

"Yeah, you know what we should do? Move him to left and go after a centerfielder!"

"Wonderful idea! Lets trade Kemp while' we're at it!"

"Why would we limit ourselves to only CFs if we want to upgrade the OF? Pierre plays a passable CF and we could find a corner OF who hits as well as a CF for much cheaper. Heck, for that matter, why don't we put Kemp in CF and get rid of Pierre?"

"SHUT UP, KIM"

My all-time favorite Colletti parody:

Sabean: We'll trade two starting pitchers, though I'd prefer to only trade one. I'd love to keep them all, but Lowry's contract makes him pretty danged attractive.

Colletti: Would you trade Lincecum?

Sabean: No.

Colletti: Never? Never ever?

Sabean: Nope.

Colletti: Not for a billion dollars?

Sabean: Nope.

Colletti: Not for a million billion dollars?

Sabean: Maybe. And a stud outfielder. Then I'd take my million billion dollars and buy a new damned team. This one is killing me.

Colletti: So, you would trade Lincecum for a stud outfielder?

Sabean: Yeah, and a million billion dollars.

Colletti: Do you remember when I passed out at that bar in Times Square? And how you dragged me out in the middle of the street, stripped me to my underwear, and covered me in cracked corn and bread so the pigeons would attack me? And then how I spent that week in the hospital because of that pigeon-based virus?

Sabean: Hee hee. Yeah.

Colletti: Well, I just taped our conversation, and now I'm going to edit it so it sounds like you're trying to trade Lincecum! Then I'll e-mail it to the press.

Sabean: I wish you wouldn't...but that's also not really a comparable prank.

Colletti: I'm also sleeping with your wife.

Sabean: ...

Colletti: Though, I guess that's not really a prank.

Sabean: ...

Colletti: I'll let myself out.

Dear Lord...

Why not offer DLee, EPatt, and Marshall for Loney and Kemp?

Seriously.

aside from the fact that the dodgers wouldn't do that deal? i guess it can't hurt to offer trades that will get shot down. while we're at it let's offer eyre, fontenot, theriot and veal for miggy cabrera.
