Well, I've a big decision to make. It appears as if the wife might be inclined to let me attend. The problem is that the Cubs Convention could be happening while the Cowboys have a home playoff game. I'll have tickets for that game if it occurs, and Cowboys playoff game trumps Cubs Convention. However, if I decide to go to Cubs Convention, I'll have $$ tied up in non-refundable plane tickets and probably a hotel. So, if I make that commitment, it would be hard to back out if the Cowboys have that playoff game. Of course, if I pass up Cubs Convention and then the Cowboys don't host a playoff game then, I'm gonna be pissed...

decisions...decisions....decisions...

Maybe a little of both... :-"

But seriously, it's making it a tough decision.

My dorm is only a couple blocks away from where they hold the convention and a good friend of mine's dorm window actually looks at the back entrance of the Hilton. I REALLY hope I can see all kinds of Cubs awesomeness for free.

Unless things have changed, you should still be able to head down there right before opening ceremonies on the Friday, stand outside the grand ballroom entrance, and watch all the Cubs as they walk into the room for introductions.

Simple solution. Give me the Convention tickets and IMB the Cowboy tickets and this allows you to spend more time to spend with your family.

--- Yeah Vance you're really in a dilemma. If you decide to not go to the Convention, then I (and others I'm sure) would be interested in buying two of your tickets/passes. As much as I want to go, I can't justify paying $100.00 (or whatever it is now) a piece for a pass.

Someone enlighten me. This thing sells out really quick every year, so obviously there's tons there that is great to see. But what? Is it just alot of autograph lines (not something that would entice me), or are there cool presentations or other fun things to do?

I'm sure the convention is great, but ummm.......Chicago in January/Feb not exacly my idea of a fun vacation destination if you know what I mean. And I think plenty of people fly in for the convention.
