why can't I get in premium?

Tim hasn't brought everything, including premium, back yet. He's waiting for the new board software (phpbb 3.0) to go gold, right now its still beta, that way when he updates he doesn't have to do a lot of work again.

 

Although he might be bringing back premium earlier, its just to much work to do in one night/weekend.

All my scripts to check whether a user was premium or not utilized the phpbb authentication system, which changed significantly in this version. I haven't yet been able to get those scripts transferred to phpbb3. As soon as they are up and running, I'll make the ads go away from premium users. Then, as time goes on, I will be adding additional premium-only board modifications to give some incentive to users to help support the site.

 

In the meantime, I believe all formerly premium-only capabilities are all built into phpbb3.

I'm not trying to be a jerk....he can have all the slack he needs...I'm just not a fan of the adds at all, they annoy the crap out of me...I finally figured out how to turn off all the photos/avatars/sigs on phpbb3...which makes viewing a bit easier...all that stuff was auto off for me on the old board and I missed it....in all, its not "bad"...I just don't like change...especially change attached to google adds. :lol:
