I can't believe the Rockies are pitching Aaron Cook tonight. He hasn't pitched in 2 and a half months.

Face it, they were happy to have just gotten to the WS. There was never anything beyond a vain hope that something might happen to the Red Sox to hand it to them. Actually taking it to the Red Sox and beating them straight up was never going to happen.

This was a horrible, horrible World Series.

Man...kinda sucks that the Red Sox will have won both of these recent WS away from Boston.

Yeah. It sucks that we don't get to see them celebrate in Boston. Still, 2 World Series in the past 3 years. Must be nice.

I'll take the Cubs winning a WS away from Chicago if, you know, they won one.

Oh, without a doubt. I'm just talking from a spectator's standpoint, I'd much prefer to see them win it in Boston.

Wow. How good has Ellsbury been this series?

Really, really good. There's no reason to think he'll slug anything like this in his career. Not to say he won't still be good; kid's got a great eye and is really patient.

Btw, did anybody catch what McCarver said last night? After a towering shot to straight away center, I think by Spilborghs, McCarver said something along the lines of "The ball gets out of here in most other ballparks."

Really, Tim? A 315 ft shot in Coors soap-dropping Field?!

This might be FJM-worthy.

Coors is 415 feet to CF, not 315. The CF wall is a little further back than most ballparks, so if the ball traveled the same number of feet then Tim was right, it would be out in most ballparks. The thin air needs to be factored in to the equation, but I'm not sure how much that would add to the particular ball that was hit.

I really liked him when he was at Oregon State.

The Rockies still have some fight left.

It's always great to see that turd Josh Beckett win another World Series.

Can we send Boston to Canada already?
