Dude, I don't give a [expletive], to be honest, I am happy they have that up, stair that curse in the [expletive] eye, and spit in it's face. Lets win these 3 games, we have Hill vs Hernandez @ Home should be a win, then Zambrano vs Owings @ Home should be a win, that makes it 2-2, guys its all even then. The outcome of the first four games doesn't mean a thing to game five. It's a 1 game series, our best pitcher this year, Lilly, vs their best pitcher, Webb. We hit Webb hard during the regular season, lets get at him, this series is as winnable as 0-2 is ever going to be, lets take advantage of this. The Cubs CAN win, DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

well thats what you should be thinking, how many times do teams lose 2 in a row then 3 wins right after that? its happened thousands of times, now we just gotta do it in the post season and I already pointed out my reasons why we can do it, but we have a bunch of pessimistic idiots who wanna go cut their wrists. Go ahead, the Cubs might still lose anyway, but this series is not even close to being over, sure it could end before we go to bed tonight, but something tells me this team isn't close to calling it quits anytime before November 2nd

Well, also to be fair, like 90% of the people who saw it will not have read the article and will only think "look, the Cubs' own site feeds into the curse, how ridiculous." It's embarrassing, really. Just ignore the damn thing, the last thing we need is our own friggin team acknowledging it.

The goat curse is, on its face, insulting to intelligent Cubs fans, or for that matter, anybody with an IQ in three figures. What is being said by the persistence of this nonsense is that you can peddle any sort of drivel in the media and some people will buy it.

 

And since the fans of the other 29 franchises only laugh at this stuff, what the purveyors of this myth are essentially saying is that Cubs fans are none too bright. That's not right. Cubs fans are like the patron saints of the incredibly difficult cause, and they are a breed apart from many other fan bases. But you cannot move from this to a gross assault upon their essential worth.

 

Sounds like he's saying the complete opposite from what you represented him as saying.
