I hope this series gets to the point were Valverde blows a save. People get on Z but if I am Aramis, I am pissed right now. The guy was jumping around like an orangutan.

I don't know what will be more interesting...the Cubs getting swept or the Wrigley crowd's behavior on Saturday. If the Cubs get behind early it could get ugly early with the fans.

 

the situation at wrigley couldn't get uglier than soriano, lee and ramirez's at bats. being a cub fan sucks right now, i shouldn't ever get worked up about a cubs team i suppose.

The fact that the fans of the the Marlins, the D-bags and the Astros have seen their team either in a WS or win a WS galls me to no end. I'd gladly assist on laying the smack down on them.

 

And you might add the Rockies to that this season.

At this point - there is no way you can bring Lilly back for game 5 here.

 

You gotta go Hill and Marquis at home, Big Z in game 5 if you get there. You have to win all three now, Marquis at home > Lilly at AZ.

 

i'm with you. however, if marquis struggles even the slightest bit then you go to lily out of the pen on 3 days rest. now is the question of pride and ego and i could only hope they don't come into play.

 

I'm not sure how I personally feel about it, but I almost guarantee you that's not how they'll do it. If they win on Saturday, there's no way Lou pitches Marquis in a possible season-ender when he could pitch Zambrano on 3 days' rest. It may even boil down to a "get your Ace one more start" thing.

that was more of a knee jerk, cubs lose reaction from myself personally. maybe i will think the same in the morning, but probably i'll agree with you that zambrano should get the nod in a win or go home game 4(hopefully we see game 4). i just have no confidence in lilly and i'm sure he has no confidence in himself right now either. either way, the cubs winning this series is 1/50 IMO. My confidence is shattered, i hope their's isn't.

How'd you get 1 in 12? I figure if we've got a roughly 50% chance of winning each game, our chances are 1/8. And that's pretty consistent with the 4 teams out of 27 that Raisin mentioned earlier.

I sure wish the cubs of July would have shown up to the post season. But since it's the cobs, we got the May version.
