please...no injuries, no ejections, nothing dumb. 2 days of rest, and then get ready for wednesday.

Should be a good one

I've got the whole 2 odd some hours on WGN radio recorded at the celebration. It has Lou tearing up, and tons of great stuff. I can post some snippets later if anyone wants it. It's gonna take a long time to clean it up real good.

By the way, are the Cubs going to skip any of the main 5 pitchers? I would assume they will give Ramirez some rest. Can you imagine any of the "main" guys playing today and tommorow?

Hell, if it's possible to post the whole thing, please do!

First of all, I'd love to get my hands on the radio broadcast. I'm sure I'm not alone.

And I'd guess that a couple of players that have had injury issues (Soriano, Rammy) will sit today, and all the starters will be gone by the 7th. Tomorrow, I'd guess everyone plays to make sure they're tuned up, but they will all be out by the 5th. I'd expect Sean Gallagher or Kevin Hart to get the start tomorrow.

I would think they'd start, but will probably be pulled in the 5th or 6th inning. You can't sit them completely for a week and expect them to stay hot for the playoffs.

I'd assume our lineup will look something like this

Theriot ss

Pie CF

Ward 1b

Murton LF

Fuld RF

Fontenot 2b

Cedeno 3b

Blanco C

Actually...that's just what I'd do. I assume lou will give some of the big guys a rest today, and some a rest tomorrow; but i doubt anyone plays the full game.

I doubt Ward will play because of his injury the other night.

Arizona 90 70 .563 - -
San Diego 89 71 .556 1.0 2

Wild Card W L PCT GB E#

Boo! Go San Diego and Colorado!

dude, that's completely selfish. I know you want to see them live in SD, but they stand a much better chance to get through this if they don't have to face SD, regardless of no Bradley or Cameron, especially if up against Peavy and Young in games 1 and 2 at Petco.

go Colorado, Brewers, Nats, Mets (cuz the Cubs don't stand much chance against Phillie's offense right now either).

Chris Young has a 4.97 ERA in the second half, he's not the same pitcher since his injury.

Seeing as I'm not confident in the Cubs winning in the first round against any of these teams, I'll root for the one where I can see them.

I think SD and Arizona are about even. Like Raisin said, Young hasn't been great. So without Bradley and Cameron, Arizona has the better offense. SD has a slight edge in pitching, but outside of Peavy they aren't spectacular. I hope we play one of them the first round and the other the second round. But whoever comes out of the AL is going to be a dang solid team.

I love that line-up. Bruce, any word who gets the start on Sunday?

Fontenot-Murt-Soto at 2-3-4 is like an Iowa lineup. :D

I'm digging Ronny at 3B and Hank White at 1B.

I've read that Lilly is going to go 2 or 3 innings to get some work in, then it's up to the pen.
