Well I just got back from Wrigley, there are piles of the old stuff along Sheffield. I came back with more than my share, and have planted it. Any tips on maintaining sod?

A lot of water. We had to water ours 3 times a day when we first got it and it just came from the sod farm. Of course that was during 100 degree days when it went in.

Don't bother resodding it. The way they're performing right now, just don't bother.
No, they still need to resod it. There will be playoff games at Wrigley because the Brewers are escorting the Cubs to the playoffs through the back door.

Appears to be that way, but it's like nobody wants to go to the playoffs, especially the way they been playing thus far. It's like"

Cubs: We're just gonna tank the season, so you can have the playoffs Brewers.

Brewers: You kiddin me? We're tankin as well. Take it instead!

Cubs: No! You take it!

wont new sod be really hard to start and stop on? will it move around at all?

New sod is usually a bit of a problem. But there are 10 days before any potential game on that field, it should be in good shape by then. Football teams sometimes resod midweek, and there's a lot more starting and stopping in that sport. Odds are you'll see some clumps come up here and there, and it will be noticeable for the TV cameras, but given the time frame, a quality grounds crew should be able to make it playable and relatively safe.

Obviously it isn't the width of sod I just installed on my back lawn, I can't see it rooting in 10 days wouldn't it or couldn't it be like a rug on a hardwood floor and slip a little or trip over the seems?
