Lou's bullpen usage down the stretch reminds me of Dusty's rotation usage down the stretch in '03. Dusty trusted nobody in the pen so he ran out his starters for 130 pitches a game. Lou trusts 3 relievers so he runs them out there every game. Good thing we seem to have some depth in the pen for next year, cause I could see some injuries.

while that was a nice backdoor slider to Ward, what has been lost in the good pitching, hitting, and defensive performance of the Cubs today is some pretty terrible umpiring by Hallion today.
