I'm not a fan of pulling Rich this early.

 

I think its just a case of being cautious with him. It was obviouls something was up in his last start.

 

He gave good five innings and left with a 4-run lead.

 

Fair enough (though he was pulled with a 2-run lead).

Again, Wood can't warm up in 2 minutes.

 

Marmol was warm before Soriano hit the HR. There is no way Wood could have gotten ready.

 

This isn't a video game where you can just insert anyone at anytime.

I think that was a really good deke by Sanchez. He ran right to the spot after "fighting" the sun.

Did anyone notice that earlier on DLee's single thru the right side (nice baserunning, lee :x), they had been playing him with the second baseman shifted around behind the bag? Lee had a lot of hits up the middle this year, and when they started playing that shift on him, he started making outs behind the bag.

 

Today was the second or third time that he deliberately went through the hole they left on the right side, and on his single that last AB, they abandoned the shift and played the infield straight up, so Lee took it right back up the middle again.

 

He's definitely figured out everything he needs to offensively.

The crowd seems pretty quiet again today. Does the crowd noise usually come from Len & Bob's mics?

 

I was going to bring this up; it seems like the sound is a little screwed up today on WGN, I'm sure the crowd is loud.
