Marquis to pitch the possible one game playoff. Good or bad?

Does everyone still have confidence in Marquis for this game?

 

I would never have confidence in Marquis, because he's inconsistent. However, he certainly has the ability to throw a gem, so it's not a complete lost cause.

 

The important thing is not letting it get to the last game.

Thing with Marquis is, it's easy to tell immediately whether he has it or not. Like today, even in the top of the first, it was obvious Marquis had BP stuff today, and Lou decided to wait until he surrendered a 3-run lead to switch him out.

 

I have no problem with starting Marquis in a crucial game, but it's almost like there needs to be a backup pitcher ready in case Marquis just doesn't have it.

If Marquis was a golfer he'd be John Daly. He can look so good for a while, but inevitably he's going to have a blowup hole/inning/game where he looks awful.
