The 15 losing seasons in a row by the Pirates are only one away from the MLB record. When I was a kid they were a hitting force and to see this streak continue is just sad. Would they be like this if there was a salary cap or are they that mismanaged? Edited September 19, 2007 by CuseCubFan69

Mismanaged. The NBA has a salary cap and the the Clippers stink year after year. The NFL has a cap and look at the Lions.

At least they've had a WS victory in my lifetime. They were also in the NLCS, and were a good Barry Bonds throw away from getting to the 93 series the last time they had a winning team.

Yeah, the day Bonds left they went all to heck and as CiNY said, they are mismanaged and just seemed to give up after that.
