dangumbit! I should be expecting this by now, I suppose. Harvey plays a week, strikes out 7 times (doesn't walk once) then gets injured.

I'm glad to see Samson doing so well though

I'm glad to see Burke get the opportunity...I wish Samson would get more AB.

I wonder how many more chances Harvey will get as a hitter.

So, Harvey really hasn't learned anything about how to take a pitch.

At this point do you really have any hope for the guy taking a walk? It may be time to see if he can pitch.

Any word yet at all on the nature of Harvey's injury?

No, but it seems severe if they had someone replace him.

I dont know the extent of the injury, but I heard it was a pulled hamstring.

Hah, I shouldn't be surprised. That's his most common injury.

That doesn't sound season-ending to me, though (although I'll admit I don't know how long the season is).

Burke collided with the second baseman several games ago attempting to break up a double play. It was a minor bruise, but because it was directly on the shin, it swelled up pretty bad. He was able to tape it the next day and play, but in his third at-bat, fouled a pitch off the same spot on the same shin. Apparently its swollen and black and blue from knee to ankle. Anyways, nothing major, but they're giving him a few days off for the swelling to go down.

Just thought I'd give a quick update.

Thanks. Sounds too familiar to those of us who have been fans long enough to remember the promise of Nic Jackson.
