I tried monolith for a while, and i liked it at first, but it got old really quick.

Personally, I can't stand any web page with a black background.

Usually it doesnt bother me. Even my instant messangers I use have a black background with white text. But, all the wierd icons and video-game-like look really got old quick. I made me feel like I should be wearing a Star Trek t-shirt and practicing on my Klingon...

I'm a big fan of how the announcements are kind of separated up at the top, I think that's kinda nice.

Indexing is up to post id 909200, btw. I'm wondering if that's 909K out of the 1100K in the db or 909K out of the 1600K total posts.

I have my answer. It's still indexing and it's now at post id 1,046,500. Only another 500,000 more posts to go at around 3 per second. :(

No - search is handled in a completely different manner in phpbb3. It is generating a full-text search that is maintained in a different way that doesn't drain resources as much.

 

However, it's going to take another 1.93 days to complete the initial indexing at this rate assuming my browser connection never gets interrupted.

I really like this look, but is there a way to put the users browsing this forum back at the top? I know some people have their status hidden but, while in a discussion I like to see who else is at that particular forum. Just an idea, not a big deal really.

Yea Im using prosilver just didnt know if there was a way to put them at the top.

One thing I really like is that when you shrink the window, the width of the board shrinks along with it. I keep it small when I'm at work so it's not too obvious and this makes it a lot easier to read. Side-scrolling was a pain.
