Replaced with..?

Jake Fox for Pie

Pignietello for Marshall

Gallagher to the rotation.

Fox is guaranteed to be better than Pie?Pignietello is guaranteed to be better than Marshall? Have you even looked at Marshalls stats, or are you just looking at his last 3 starts? Marshall pitched pretty good his last time out, but our manager decided to play the infield in for some dumbass reason. Id doesnt matter what starter you throw out there if your offense can only score 3 runs you arent going to win very often.

Hes not guaranteed to be better, but hes not guaranteed to be worse, and thats a risk Im willing to take. Pie is looking more and more like the elder Patterson brother every day.

OK, do whatever. Struggle all you want with whatever AAA talent you want. Without Soriano & ARam this team will sink, especially with Lee looking like crap. End of story. Throw Pie & Marshall to the 4 winds.....end result, exactly the same.

Wow. What a worthless thread. You do know that Marshall only gave up 3 runs today to a very good Colorado offense in Coors Field, right? And bring up Jake Fox? Somehow he's better than Pie? Awful.

Marshalls inconsistent man come on

Yeah, Pie got two hits last night and a hard hit ball that scored a run today. Worthless. Send him back down for at least the next 2 years.

.218, 2 HR. Stats don lie. Hes not ready for the majors. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

So you choose to use stats when talking about Pie, so why dont you use those stats for Marshall to. Find me 3 better number 5 starters this year.

He needs the chance to do that in the majors, though. He can't do that at AAA. It takes patience with young players. Even after they've done all that they can in the minors they still usually go through some growing pains early in their major league careers, some more than others. Mike Schmidt hit less than .200 in his rookie year, and he turned out OK. You can't expect immediate stardom.

.208 .303 obp .260slg .563 OPS take a guess whos numbers those are since the All Star Break?

I suppose hes pretty good as far as number 5ers go, but I would like to see Gallagher get some starts.

I refuse to revoke my stance on Pie. Hes essentially getting on the job training, and thats OK when your 12 games out, but when your in the thick of a pennant race, you cant afford it.

Jake Fox struggles mightily against offspeed stuff, how's that's not a concern?

Sean Marshall has had a good season so far. Sean Gallagher is probably going to do worse seeing as he doesn't have the major league experience that Marshall does. Oh, and Gallagher isn't stretched out anymore.

Theriots satayed in th high270s/low 280s. not bad

Derosa fluctuates between the high/mid 280s. not bad

Jones has jumoped from the low 220s to the high 260s since the AS break.

Kendalls hitting .303 since joining the Cubs. Ill take it.

Thats pretty affordable.

Lees plumeting a bit, and he does need to step up with RISP though. Hes basically in the same position as A Ram was last season, as the star of the team, but he cant get the jon done.

Are you purposely avoiding his point? Your namesake has stunk since the ASB.
