am i the only one who had no idea that he is 33 years old?

No. I was also stunned.

Put me in as stunned as well. If I had to guess, I would've said 27-29.

I was stunned when I looked at his age a couple years ago. He hit well in the minors but didn't get a legit shot until he was 29. That's a waste of a player's prime.

I admittedly didn't know that either, but with his production right now, that wouldn't stop me from putting in the claim.

The only way something happens with Blake is if the Indians get a replacement 3B in the deal. I can't see the Cubs trading DeRosa in such a deal - what would be the point? Not a lot of quality 3B are going to pass through the waiver process.

Scott Moore and another minor leaguer perhaps?

You think Dero would get through waivers? Maybe we send them Moore and he can play 3rd for them, at least for the rest of this year. He really doesn't have any foreseeable future with us as 1st and 3rd are both blocked for quite a while yet.

Zero chance a contending team puts Scott Moore at 3B down the stretch.

Not 0.0000000000000000000000001% chance. Zero chance.

Also, Scott Moore is on the 40-man roster and there's 0% chance on him making it through waivers so he could be traded to Cleveland.

I didn't look it up until today, but yeah I was pretty shocked too. I guess I just assumed that he started his MLB career in the 23-25 range, which would've put him in his late 20s.

No, it's higher than zero percent. If Aramis tweaked something in Sept after the rosters expand and needed a day off, and DeRosa was out with something, I could see Moore getting a spot start.
