Jones singled to center field

That was perhaps the best at-bat I've ever seen Jacque against a left-handed pitcher. 10 pitches, fouled off a couple tough pitches, and then stayed on a pitch and had a nice single up the middle. He continues to see the ball really well lately.

DLee is in terrible need of a day off.

Hah we cannot get away with that right now.

No, but maybe we can do it on something like Tuesday. Aramis should be back, and Ward should be back to be able to fill in at first. That would give Lee 2 straight days off (with the off day on Monday) and could really re-charge him.

Sounds like a plan. He definitely needs one. He looks like he has nothing right now.

Yeah we really have to wait though.

why are we using our good relievers in a 10-2 game? This seems like the perfect time to get guys like Scott Eyre and Sean Gallagher some work.

Gallagher threw 23 pitches last night and Eyre threw 15. Marmol hasn't pitched since Monday, so they probably wanted him to get some work in.

Plus, a 10-2 game in Coors is like a 5-1 game anywhere else, and the Cubs are really desperate to break this streak.
