Wow. Just wow. We have went right back to the team we were the first 2 months of the season. And I actually got excited about this team, this season, this year.

I thought the main drill in the field for a pitcher is covering first on any ground ball to the right side. How the hell does Eyre not cover on that play? It's just a shame this whole team stinks, so in order for Eyre to get chewed out by Lou, he'll have to take a number and get in line.

Since taking first place the cubs have lost 6 of 7 (counting tonight) the only win all the runs scored were after the inning should have been over.

 

And yet they lost a total of 1 game in the standings.... how sad.

well at least Erye still blows

 

IMO that little episode puts Eyre a lot closer to being DFA'd. He po'd Lou on a couple different things there.

If this were nascar, the Cubs and Brewers would be driving in reverse. The boredom would also be better entertainment than this team is right now.

Bruntlett walked

Ausmus sacrificed, 2-4, Bruntlett to second

Palmeiro, pinch hitting for Oswalt, walked

Biggio grounded out to short, 6-3 , Bruntlett to third, Palmeiro to second

Lamb doubled to down the left field line , Bruntlett & Palmeiro scored

Eyre in to pitch for the CUBS

Berkman walked

C Lee grounded an IF single to first base , Lamb to third, Berkman to second

Scott walked , Lamb scored, Berkman to third, C Lee to second

Wuertz in to pitch for the CUBS

Lane grounded into a FC, 6-4, Scott out at second
