Brewers are I believe the 6th worst team in the NL on the road.

Here's hoping a trip to Coors cools them down.

The problem is they also hit a lot of homers. Coors might be the only away stadium where they survive...

In scary news, the Yankees are 6 outs from tying the Tigers for the WC lead.

Scary for who?

Just scary because of the universal hate for the Yankees and how far they've climbed back from the bottom of the AL.

Regression to the mean.

The Yankees have the second best ExWL in the majors at 70-42 behind only Boston's of 70-41. The next best are the Tigers, Angels, and Padres at 62-48.

More fun with ExWL:

While the Yankees are underperforming the most based on ExWL at 8 games (they are 62-50), the Diamondbacks are the team that is outperforming based on ExWL. Arizona, which sits is 63-50, has been outscored by 29 runs this year and is playing 10 games over their ExWL. Arizona is followed by the Cardinals (7 games over) and the White Sox (6 games over).

Don't they put their baseballs in a humidor up in Coors now? I remember hearing that the HR numbers have leveled out and become much more comparable to the rest of the league because of this.

Yes they do. Coors definitely isn't as big of a HR park as it used to be.

Which I never understood how they get away with it. How is doctoring the balls legal?

It's an attempt to get the ball to act more like it does in every other stadium. It's a smart way to try and offset the challenges of running a franchise in Denver. I don't understand why anybody would have a problem with it. It's not like the Rockies are the only ones who get to use the balls.

i can't get excited over Brewers loses, they are just wasted opportunities.

I agree but when the Cubs lose it makes me feel better than the alternative.
