I'm creating sites for Bears football and Bulls basketball. I've registered several different site names and I'm looking to see which people like the most. This is the poll for the football site since I'm doing that one first.

I am really stoked about having a new Bears forum. :stickman: I've been looking for one that is as good of a football forum as NSBB is a baseball forum. And to put it bluntly, they all suck.

Since I have no clue as to what goes into creating a new forum, do you any idea of a "birth date" for the new football forum?

Thanks, Wilmo

Just for people who don't know:

"The 312" — The onetime area code for Chicago and surrounding communities, which now applies only to the Loop and several immediately surrounding neighborhoods. Many rap artists refer to Chicago by this name, and many pro sports players from the Chicago area use 312 to signify their hometown. Dwyane Wade is an example: A small triangle on his shoes contains the numbers 312 in reference to his birthplace.

Yeah, I'm just not a fan.

I cannot stand the area code reference concept. It's stupid. I hate it when half the Sacramento Kings hats I see say "916 Kings." I hate it when we make fun of people from the Inland Empire by referencing their area code (those backward 909ers). Great, you've got more street cred since you're from the 510 (East Bay) or 213 (inner LA).

northsidefootball.

while it doesn't make as much sense as wcf, nsbb is pretty widely known, and i think, as far as branding goes, it would be the smartest move.

That's a good point. As NSBB grows, people will likely connect the Northside name with the football site.

What about LakesideFootball? Soldier Field is right on the lake, and it would keep the same tone as Northsidebaseball, but with a bit more accuracy.

Also, when there were two football teams in Chicago, the Bears were the team of the North side. So it makes sense for multiple reasons.

Hmm, we seem to have a trend going. I'd be perfectly fine with either NorthsideFootball or WindyCityFootball.

I just checked and northsidefootball is taken.

Therefore... Windy City Football it is!

If I knew how to code I'd create my own Cubs message board site. You all wouldn't be invited of course. I'm a big fan of invitation only sites.

you'd have some really lively debates with yourself
