Ya know, I don't care if Glavine is going for number 300, the strikezone should be the same for both teams. And it's not tonight. And that sucks.

it wasn't the same for his first 299 games, why start now?

That was amazing.

He looked like old Kerry. Hit 96 I believe.

Wow. Just a perfect return for him.

I hate that Miller is acting suprised that Wrigley would give Wood a standing ovation.

Screw you John. You should know better. Did you sleep through 2003?

I hate nationally televised games. They just don't understand the team enough to speak intelligently about them.

I expect more from Miller. He's been doing it forever, he knows the history of these teams. He watched '03, he's done Wood games before.

I'm more disappointed than anything I guess. I shouldn't have said "hate", but come on -- Wood is very loved in Chicago and has been since that day in May of '98

it's actually sorta weird/creepy seeing wood out there for some reason. it's like he's the ghost of Cubs past

lol...let's just hope he's like the "ghost of Christmas past" and changes the Cubs (like Scrooge)

I am so glad he had to be hurt so much. The guy is such an awesome pitcher.

I think you mistyped something there. You're glad he had to be hurt?

I had the exact same feeling...

Come on, Mizzou. "5th starter" is nonsense. That's a cherry picked fact. He's a bad starter. No contending team should have a 5th starter who pitches with an ERA above 5 for 2 straight months. You know better that that.

He had a very good April and a decent May. He's fallen off a cliff since.

It's not nonsense. He's the 5th best starter on this team. It's silly to compare him to other team's aces and such. It makes sense to see how he performs compared to other team's 5th starters. And he performs very well. Better than every other team's 5th starter. He's doing his job.

What?? "He's doing his job"?? What's his job? To pitch us out of games? To give up 4 runs in 5 IP? He's sucked the past 2 months. He's the "5th starter" because he's easily the worst on our staff. He's making too much money to have a above 5 ERA.

Seriously, why do you continue to say that? It's a flat out lie.

If you're not going to be truthful, I'm not going to waste time talking to you.

what the hell is the matter with you?

june -- 5.09 era

july -- 6.29

august -- 4 runs and counting in 5 innings.

who's lying?

What the hell is the matter with you man?

He has had good outtings and bad ones. Half good, half bad. That doesn't mean he's been awful. Look at his freaking game log. Try and have someone read it to you if you still don't understand.

He's given you the stats and you still can't admit that Marquis sucks. Last I heard a 4 plus ERA is not very good, let alone a 5 and 6 plus.

I won't admit it because it's simply not true. 27th best ERA in the league, and he sucks? Please.

yep, even the hit was just a perfectly placed grounder, nothing more.

wow we needed that tonight, it'll help soften the blow of Sori and the loss.
