Worst loss of the season?

Hopefully the positives have outweighed the negative so far but I'd like to see what you all think about this...

 

Unfortunately there are a lot to choose from...

The last 2 wereprobably the worst. Not only were they worth something, but we were in it until the top of the 9th when the pen weant back to its old tricks and put em out of reach.

Geez, we've had a lot of crappy losses this year.

 

My gut wants me to vote for the 1-0 SD game because it was such a piece of horsecrap, but also wants me to vote for the Lilly/Renteria game for the same reason.

The game where the Cubs allowed 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth to the Mets.

the 15 inning loss to the pirates was also horrendous. That had the classic "2nd and 3rd no out" in the 8th inning and the cubs managed to not score. I knew right away when that happened that they'd blow the one-run lead in the 9th, and sure enough, they did. So predictable.

on one hand, you really can't argue against any of those -- they all sucked, to put it eloquently.

 

but really . . . the 9th inning of that Mets game. No doubt in my mind that that's the worst.

 

The Colorado game (link) with Tulowitzki's homer would have been the worst, perhaps, if not for our own heroics... making it one of the most exciting wins of the year. That's Baseball... what a game :)
