I'm not a fan of Stoney's philosophies.

 

I clearly remember Stone saying that the Cubs should break the bank to sign Carlos Beltran.

 

I like that kind of philosophy.

I clearly rember him saying Izturis was a great pickup for Maddux.

 

Saying the Cubs could should get Beltran is like me saying Beyonce is hot or Britney is lonney. It doesn't really take a genius to make that observation.

i remember that, but i'm positive he wanted to trade a good player for izturis, but i can't remember who.

I'd love to see a return of Steve Stone to the broadcast booth, him and Len would make a great great team. But no part of me wants to see in the front office in any role.
