Interesting, but way too anecdotal to have any real value. Now you show me that Peavy lost to the Pirates and Reds with Barrett and beat the Mets and Dodgers with Bard, then maybe. Also, wasn't the time of that trade about when Rothschild is supposed to have gotten Z's mechanics fixed?

well, barrett is actually a drag on his team at this point. i think it's more of a coincidence that the cubs were struggling while he was on the team (since he wasn't a total drag offensively), but he's a terrible player for the padres for the time being. he figured out a way to make their offense worse.
