Marquis is only facing the best offense in the NL in terms of RPG. What's there to worry about?

Ugh. The thought of more Jones, Floyd, and Kendall in the lineup the rest of the year is maddening.

 

Jones has been on fire vs. right handed pitching, and floyd will hurt himself again soon. The only one on that list that really is maddening is Kendall. Especially with Soto tearing it up.

 

A .696 OPS since the All Star Break is on fire now? I understand hes been better, but it would have been really hard to play worse

 

He has a .649 OPS against RH pitchers this season. Again, not really on fire. He's had a decent 2-week stretch, but he still was putting up a sub .800 OPS during that time period.

 

and during his decent two week stretch most of his hits were 16 hop rollers that found holes. he looks like the same hitter he was in may.

I agree with Rusch here for some reason. For absolutely no logical reason, I think Marquis will pitch competently tonight. Something along the lines of 7 IP and 4 runs.

If an Iowa education is what's making us think that Marquis will do well, we should probably transfer.

How about having an opposing runner on third with no outs, striking out the next two batters, and then giving up a bloop single? That's much worse.

tru statement but i just assume they will score in that chance against the cubs no matter how many outs....so that doesnt annoy as much

Makes sense. He was good when we sucked, and he's been terrible as we started winning. I guess that's the tradeoff...
