With just one week remaining in the regular season 6 of the 8 playoff spots are still up for grabs, as is the #1 seed. I'm out for blood against KarenMac (Cubicle Warriors). She just almost certainly knocked me out of the playoffs in another league (she has Brees on her team in that league, and that was the death of me), so I'm hellbent on returning the favor in this league. :twisted:

 

Good. I'm in 7th and will need to beat my opponent to stay there. If I lose it will come down to total points which I don't like my chances in.

Yeah, you beat me pretty mercilessly. The tie-breaker is based on points, right? If so, I'm still going to get in, I believe and I should have a decent seed.

Not to slurp myself but I would say I have the best chance of upsetting in the playoffs. After failing to score over 100 pts in 4 of the first 7 weeks I have scored over 100 in 5 of the last 6. Assuming Rodgers gets 4 points in the second half I will be 7-6 winning five of my last six.

I could suffer due to the Colts' success. They could wrap up home field advantage throughout the playoffs as early as this coming week. If they do so Manning may rest some during the remaining games. Fortunately I snatched up Vince Young before anyone else did, so if there's talk of Manning playing less than a full game I wouldn't mind playing Young (if Delhomme were my only other option at QB I'd be screwed).

When it's that close just about anything could have turned it the other way. If Smith had just one more catch last night, or if Manning's first TD pass had been to someone other than Collie, or.....

Just shows how much of a crapshoot fantasy football is from week to week. Last week my team was rather putrid (third lowest score) and you would have easily beaten me, but I was fortunate to be up against the team with the second lowest score. This week against better competition my team steps up to the challenge. They remind me of the Colts in the sense that they frequently do just enough to win.
