I thought I might be in trouble this week, because my running game seemed like a possible mess due to injuries and bye week for Williams. But then I noticed my opponent has three players on bye week in his active lineup. I'm no longer concerned.

It's interesting that, considering how long he's already been in the league, he's having perhaps his best season ever. And that's with Harrison being released and Gonzalez being injured. You're right that he's carrying my team. I expect to be in a world of hurt during his bye week.

Oh, and I added Collie as a free agent today, so hopefully I'll start getting double credit for some of Manning's TD passes. :D

In a way Manning is carrying my team with Harrison and Gonzalez not around he has no choice but to throw to wayne, well except for clark.

Next week could be ugly for me with the Colts on bye week. Fortunately, with a 4-1 record I could afford a loss and still be in solid playoff position even if I drop out of first place.

Austin Collie looks like quite a steal for me. Gonzalez may have a hard time getting back in the starting lineup when he returns.

 

Next week I have Jake Delhomme as my starting quarterback. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in my ability to continue my winning streak.

I'm up by 14, but my opponent has Moreno tomorrow night against a poor San Diego run defense. If I win I don't give Delhomme any credit; it will be mainly due to my opponent not having a kicker or defense due to bye weeks. If I lose I expected to lose this week anyway with Manning on bye week.

What I frequently do is draft a backup at either kicker or defense (whichever position my regular has an earlier bye week), then after that bye week drop the fill-in kicker or defense and pick up a fill-in at the other position. That strategy works unless both have the same bye week, as happened with you.

I would very very much prefer to draft another WR or RB that has potential than waste a spot on defense or kicker. The more players with potential you draft the higher the chance of having one pan out.

Brady got me 70 points this week. He has almost single-handedly won me two of my three leagues this week (assuming I hold a 27 point lead with my opponent having Denver's defense and me having Vincent Jackson in the NSBB league).

I was mentally prepared to lose this week, but despite having the suckiness that is Jake Delhomme filling in for Manning I won. It helped that Moreno had to share the load with Burkhalter tonight. I have to thank CubbieBum's parents for visiting this weekend and distracting him from remembering to pick up bye week replacements at defense and kicker. :D

I was up 27 going into last night and I had Vincent Jackson going and he had Denver's defense. I figured I was in pretty good shape, but then Denver's D (i.e. Eddie Royal) put up 44 points and I lost by 3. And that's after Brady put up 70.

 

Started out 3-0 and now I'm 3-3.

Looks like 6 wins in a row for me, thanks again to having a 7-on-5 advantage (my opponent has one injured player and one player on bye week in his lineup). He did actually outscore me at QB (not often that Manning throws 3 TDs and still gets outscored). At least I had the Jake Delhomme Interception Machine back on my bench (the same place he really needs to be for Carolina).

well the bears were playing cleveland so I was never worried of them not winning the game. Cutler not throwing any td's huge bummer but o well what can you do.
