I am not liking the Reds struggling to score runs before we get into town. They had better do the same against us.

Hopefully Jeff Suppan is the answer to what ails their offense. Just like good old Kip Wells coming to the rescue for the slumping Cubs offense... #-o

San Diego scored 2 in the first through the aid of a Michael Barrett double.

In other news, the lineups for the Philly-Washington game is up already...4 hours prior to gametime  I wish the Cubs could even do an hour before gametime for lineups!

Keppinger as Dunn's protection. What a joke.

4-2 Rockies and they are threatening for more with 2 on and 0 outs. Could be 0.5 back in the wild card at days end if we are lucky.

7-2 Rockies. Please win tonight Cubs

SWEEETTT!

If all the other teams win, this is how bunched the WC standings can look after tonight:

SD ---
ATL ---
CHC 0.5
ARI 0.5
PHI 2.0
COL 3.5

XM just said the Rockies pitcher threw a complete game on 74 pitches?

Was the line up comprised of 3 Neifi Perezs, 3 Jose Macias and 3 Corey Pattersons?

Doubt it since all three wouldn't even make contact early in the count, let alone the first pitch.

It was indeed 74 pitches!

I mean...wow. Just...wow.

Did every one of the players have road beef waiting for them? My God that's bad, especially for a game in which they had 7 hits!

A list of the ABs:

1-pitch: 10

2-pitch: 9

3-pitch: 6

4-pitch: 3

5-pitch: 2

6-pitch: 1

Yeah, when 19 of your 31 PAs see two or fewer pitchers... wow. I'm surprised that this was a team other than the Cubs.

Good job Rockies! 74 pitches for a complete game!

That's Greg Maddux-esqe. Didn't he pitch something like a 82 pitch shutout in Yankee Stadium in the late '90's when he was w/ the Braves?
