When Kendall was traded for a lot of people were upset because we traded for a hitter that was hitting .220. I pleaded that we should give him a good shot, that he had a good OBP in the past.

I stand corrected. Unless he does a 180, he is by far the worst catcher I have seen in a Cubs uniform this year.

Marmol's arm is due to fall off in a month at the rate we are using him.

Is 35 innings in nearly 100 games pitched that many?

Serious question...

Since he wasn't even up for the first 50, I would say yes. Plus he pitches two innings most of the time.

He's now thrown 35 IP in 30 outings over 57 games + off days.

Isn't that a lot of work for a young arm? I don't know, but it sure seemd like it.

I don't think so. I think it seems like more because he's had a lot of 1.1 or 1.2 IP outings where he comes in to close out an inning and then goes another, so it kinda seems like he's getting used more.

This may be random... but does LaRussa ever sit down in the dugout? Ever?

I know Lou does sometimes. He leans against the railing a lot though.

That loud sound you hear is laughter from Oakland.

I'm finding hard to decide who is worse in less than 25 AB's, Kendall or Bowen?

Kendall is a gamer, man.

No doubt. Look at his career numbers man! How can you argue with that.

Heck with the numbers, how can a guy with such awesome 5-day stubble not rule?

Yeah that is true. I just wonder since he did start last year. Hopefully Wood coming back, I know I know, will allow Lou to use him less.

I hear the clinking of champagne glasses, even.

Good catch by Pagan. Floyd would not have had that.

Good move Lou.

It's funny how the good moves go unnoticed.

2 down.

Haha, the Card's radio PBP guy got all excited about that Edmonds FO at first. I was instantly pissed, then awesomely relieved.

I don't think Cliff Floyd makes that play? I don't think Cliff makes into the camera shot.

I think Cliff shattered a kneecap just watching Pagan make that play.
