Audition to Sing 7th Inning Stretch at Wrigley

If you were in school, you could enlist your students to each vote numerous times as a homework assignment.

They would do it just to get a substitute while I had to make a trip to Chicago.

Make something more clever up like, "Dont blow it Eyre!" or something funny. Every single person yells lets get some runs. Be creative at the audition.

While that would be funny to this board, i'm fairly certain that wouldn't go over well with the brass, much less the bullpen.

 

PS- they say "lets get some runs" in honor of Harry, since he said that every time the cubs were down at the stretch.

As much as I want that, I am inclined to agree with you. I'd just stick with the "Get more runs!" gimmick.

I'm not sure. I'm not optimistic about making it. I have a feeling being from out-of-state might not work in my favor. Either way, it's fun and I thought it was worth a shot.

I'm leaving Louisiana on Tuesday. Going to Cubs vs Cards on Wed and Thurs night in St. Louis...and then getting up before dawn on Friday to make it in time for my audition.

Yeah. I was looking at those. For Thursday, I'm sitting in the Redbird club seats in the second deck. Face is like 68 and I bought it off Ebay for 25 + shipping.

 

I'm debating on that green seat behind home, but I'm not sure it's worth $240 to sit there. If anyone else is going and needs to unload a single, let me know.

My chances of making the top 50 just took a huge hit. I've lost my voice. It's all hoars and raspy. Considering my audition is about 24-hours from now, I'm not sure I can get it back in time.

If you don't get it back, I suggest trying a William Hung/Mike Ditka.
