Hahaha, awesome picture for a guy with a really really terrible name.

Seriously, what the hell were his parents thinking.

uh oh, soft-tossing lefty alert

Wandy's thrown 16 consecutive scoreless innings coming into tomorrow. Nine innings of shutout baseball v. NYM, seven innings of shutout baseball v. COL.

Ugh.

I said it before the series started, and i'll say it again. No worries about the first game and we always own oswalt, but Wandy is going to own us.

I hope i'm wrong.

Magic Wandy

Ha! I got it in first! :P

Bastard!!

Let's hope Jock sits this game out.

I don't think Piniella has started Jock v. a LHP since April. He isn't Dusty. I wouldn't worry too much about that. Pagan in CF, Derosa in RF.

Anyone see Wandy's home/road splits this season?

Home: 5-2, 1.81 ERA, 59.2 IP, 9 GS, 4 HR, 12 BB, 51 K, .202 BAA

Away: 1-5, 6.60 ERA, 45.0 IP, 8 GS, 8 HR, 14 BB, 39 K, .296 BAA

Well that's encouraging. Hasn't Wandy pitched really well against the Cubs in the past?

Derrek Lee and (oddly enough) Jason Marquis have hit him pretty hard.

You're probably thinking of Backe.

Although, you're right, it still feels like Wandy owns us.

On the other side, Marquis has been good against Biggio, Everett (no help there), Ausmus, Burke and Lamb.

He's gotten destroyed by Berkman (586/692/897/1589 in 29 AB); Carlos Lee (1.182 OPS) and Ensberg (1.229 OPS) also beat him up pretty good.

Just win, bitches.

I see you're committed to integrating "bitches" into 95% of your game thread posts. Just sticking with something that's working?

I posted that tag line in the game immediately following the Texas series. I'm not gonna mess with the mojo.

I really hope we'll see Ward get a start in RF tomorrow. I'm hoping the lineup looks like this...

Soriano

Theriot

Lee

Ramirez

Ward

DeRosa

Pagan

Soto

Marquis

Lineup needs some pop with the wind blowing out again (atleast I believe).

With a left-hander on the mound, I'd rather DeRosa get the start in RF. Theriot at SS, and Fontenot at second.
