Changing pitchers... why? The kid's been good tonight.

 

Jones has a history of hitting him well, and has 2 doubles today. He also struggles to hit LHP.

 

EDIT: Forgot Floyd was up next. I don't know if he has traditional splits, but the Nats might have been trying to play the numbers.

He hasn't gone very deep in the game since coming back from the DL. He's still working his way back.

 

I'd let Floyd hit, and then I'd probably PH for Jacque in this spot. Or you could pinch-hit DeRosa here and then pinch-hit Pagan for Jacque.

Yesterday notwithstanding, the don't typically score more than 3 runs a game. I disagree with the move however. Acta shouldhave let Bergmann continue to pitch.

Fontenot singled to right field

Ward doubled to left center field , Fontenot scored

Ramirez popped out to second base

Traber in to pitch for Washington

DeRosa, pinch hitting for Floyd, grounded to the pitcher , safe at first on a fielding error, E3, Ward holding second

Jones grounded into a FC, 5-4, DeRosa out at second, Ward to third

K Hill grounded into a FC, 6-4, DeRosa out at second
