I don't care who buys it as long as their goal is to win and will do whatever it takes to get this team to win a world series meaning they will dish out cash and not be stubborn about spending.

All I care about is that their goal is to win and recognize the fact that they don't know crap about building a baseball team and their only job is to hire the right people to run things. Payroll be damned.

As I previously mentioned, I think Canning would be a great choice.

Why do you think that Ping? I'm just asking because I don't know anything about him other than he is part owner of the Brewers.

I'm weary of Colangelo. I've always felt he had the inside track, so Canning getting in on this is much better than Jerry getting his hands on the team.

I'm still wanting Cuban to be there. I'm aware of the difficulties and the unliklihood that he is in the mix, but as long as there is hope, I'm hoping for Maverick Mark to be among the bidders.

He may not win the deal in the end, but you can bet that Mark Cuban will be making an offer for the team. I'd like to see him team up with Ernie Banks and some other Cubs legends to gin up support for his offer.

He can create a chicago aura around him and put all kinds of pressure on the MLB to "do what the fans want." I really want a smart business man with a "I'll hire DePodesta" philosophy in here.

Also, can Cuban arrange for Hendry to be blown up like the Bartman ball? He's been far worse for this franchise than that ball ever was.

There is a good point. If Cuban were to add someone to his group that carries clout with MLB, it might enhance his chances at ownership.

Of course, Cuban likes to do things his own way. His having to share leadership may not work for him.
