I called espn1000 today and told them that I have a mancrush on Carlos Marmol earlier today.

I am crushing hard.

I'm the starter of the marmol bandWGN. ::pats self on back::

Heh, I'm pretty sure Outshined or I started one when he was in Daytona or West Tenn.

I think you've tried to start bandwagons for 80% of the players on the team

Hahaha. LOL. Nope only 2 or 3.

Who will be the closer when Dempster comes off the DL I wonder.

I don't think there's any doubt that it's Dempster's job. I love Marmol, but let's not forget how hard he tried to blow the lead last night.

It's only one game, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

But, if Marmol is doing well, Lou can get to stretch out Dempster and let him start.

Great reading for the past few months, guys. I finally had to sign up so I can shoot the breeze with you all.

I don't think there's any doubt. Dempster hasn't done anything to lose the job this year, so he's still the closer.

The rotation looks pretty full, for better or for worse.

I heard you on the Silvy and Waddle show -- hilarious. BTW -- welcome to the board.

True, but right now Marmol is throwing at an elite level, Dempster wouldn't be losing his job, more like Marmol taking it.

That being said, Marmol might be better off as the 8th inning type guy, when you really need a strikout.

Lou looks really tired. Winning must take even more out of him than losing does.
It was really really hot today. That also will take it out of ya.

Zambrano has 9 wins, that's pretty amazing for how terrible he was and for as long as he was.

Even though I know wins are a useless stat, I always like to see them just because it looks nice. He's within a win of the NL leader.

Yeah, I know. I wonder how serious Lou was about moving Dempster to the rotation eventually.

I think there's no doubt that Dempster closes when he returns, but Marmol has played his way to the 8th inning reliever.
