After the meltdown, and during a Cub ran into a rundown, great baserunning indeed, unfortunately. But in the middle of the rundown, Hawk was screaming "IT DOESNT MATTER! THEY'LL JUST AWARD YA SECOND BASE ANYWAY!"

I love listening to Hawk when the Sox are losing. He (and DJ) both stated emphatically the call was BS and one of the worse they'd ever seen in there's years of baseball. Then when they came back from commercials, Hawk never really said the umps got the play right. Rather, he went on a diatribe about how Ed Rapuano (the ump) got the call wrong by not calling the play dead right away. The fact is, if the interference doesn't involve a play on the runner, the play continues.

 

Hawk is just a mean, old man! i love it!! :twisted:

What's really funny about this whole deal is that it is obvious: Hawk & DJ didn't "see" the interference on Uribe because in their biased minds, it shouldn't matter than he knocked Pagan off the basepads. Only the bad stuff that happens to the Cubs should matter, anything illegal done by a White Sox is OK to ignore.

I love the "high and mighty" DJ saying he and Hawk see the whole field and the umps only see what's in front of them. Then they both state several times how the umps must have missed something. DJ even goes so far to say that one of the umps "too his eye off his responsibility" and missed the call. The DJ then says they saw the replays enough times to know "exactly what took place".

 

Fast forward to the bottom of the inning after the commercial break and those two morons say they were watching the ball in right field and not the runners on base, and that's why they didn't see the umps make the interference call. :roll:
