upon further review, at least numbers wise, the Royals have a great pen. three outs here Jimmy Gobble.

 

Royals pen has been a complete 180 from last year. Heck, even early on this season, it was a mess, but somehow they been locking down, other than blowing the lead (twice by Dotel this week.)

jeez the brewers play the astros and then the cubs next? are they ever going to play a real team?

 

How many real teams are there in the NL? There's a total of 5 teams that are 3 games above .500 or more-and the Brewers are one of them. So that's only 4 of 15 other teams that they face that are "real", and none of them are in their division so they don't face any of them that often.

Barrett and Bowen have both had bad starts with their new teams:

 

Bowen-1/9 with 1R, 1RBI, 3 BB and 4 K

Barrett (after the 0/4 day so far today)-2/12 with 1 RBI and 3 K
