nice base running by fontenot. Crisp around the bags and a nice slide at home. Must have come up through a different organization.

 

He must have learned it on his own since he was in the Oriole organization the American League version of the Cubs.

whoa i almost forgot...GEAUX TIGERS....thats where he learned it

I think they tought good fundamentals @ LSU. Probably a good idea for us to draft more college players than high schoolers considering our lack of apparent developmental coaching ability in the minors (at least for positional talent).

why do you think i noticed?

 

Benoit should have given up more that inning. We are so inefficient in scoring runs.

Damn good point, Soul. But I can't figure out why the Cubs orginization can't teach those kids to play the game right. And I'm convinced it's an orginzational thing. I was at the Tigers/Nats game last night. And the Tigers almost blew an 8 run lead (won 9-8) because they couldn't cover 1st, couldn't throw to the right base, etc. (see last World Series). Tells you something.
