i just don't understand. how can a team missing their ace starter, starting catcher, centerfielder, shortstop, another starting pitcher (though whether he is a true starter is another argument altogether), and have at least one relief pitcher who isn't coming back can STILL be only a half game behind a cubs team that has stayed relatively healthy. it blows my mind.
