Isn't it Gallagher's turn to pitch yet? Oh wait, he's up with the Cubs doing nothing.

I actually typed that out and decided to take it out. It would have been Gallagher's turn in a must-win game.

Do you know of another way introduce players to the big leagues? It's Cubs tradition.

Each time, it's been warranted. The umpiring has been brutal in the MWL (and the FSL, at times too). Today, the strike zone has been ridiculous - the Clinton guys haven't been too pleased with the umps either.

Peoria is now down 8-2 in the bottom of the 8th.

Birmingham tied it up at 2 in the top of the 9th! Tennessee down 2-0 after 4.

Bah, Hunstville walks off in the 9th to win 3-2.

Peoria came back from an 8-1 deficit by scoring 7 runs in the final 3 innings, but then they gave up a run in the 10th and lost 9-8.

Tennessee is down 4-1 and the Smokies have 6 outs to make up the difference to force a one game playoff.

With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Jake Fox doubled and Gary Cates singled him in, but the Smokies didn't do anything more. Tennessee loses 4-3 and Huntsville earns the first-half SL North playoff spot.

My computer went on the blink, so I only heard the first couple of innings of the Smokies game. Shame they couldn't pull it out of the bag.
