Commence the whining, but both of those pitches were balls.

second was a strike earlier in the game.

first one was in no way whatsoever a ball.

just as good as the pitch Pie was rung up on earlier.

You obviously haven't been watching today. Those balls were in the umps zone all day long.

I could go with the 2nd one being a ball but the 1st was a strike.

That I could agree with. The ump apparently called that based on where Hill caught it.

I think the 1-2 slider was a strike, definitely the other one was a ball.

Perhaps, but if a Cubs player had been called out on those, there would be even more outrage. The first was below the knees and the second was off the plate.

Definitely agree. Now the question is, will they go with the fake rally, bases loaded choke? Or will they just Pierre three times in a row?

I dont even want to hear it--he has been calling everything a strike all day--that is absolute BS!!!!!!! I am sooooooo pissed. I could see that coming--Mike Everitt --you are another terrible Des Moines umpire

WHAT A JOKE--home plate umps totally control baseball games

let's see where those same pitches are now.

come to think of it, the second one was called a strike for Heath Bell at least twice just this past inning. it set up K. Hill's K.
