I'd like to be able to use the search button again. I forget what the reason is why it doesn't work.

This is what Tim said in my "threads posted in being marked?" post a few posts down:

 

I've looked for a board mod for that and haven't found one. However, I'll be installing phpbb 3.0 one of these days once it goes "gold". It's possible that feature will be part of the new version.

 

Preview of new look. I won't have the same graphic on top, but that will be the general look of the new board.

Actually PHPBB3 is in an "unstable" release candidate version right now. I assume (and I don't know this for sure as I haven't discussed it with Tim) that in light of the recent hacker attack on the site, that security is of utmost importance, and thus he may be waiting for the actual release version.

Heh, yeah I upgraded and I don't regret it. IMO phpbb3 is already more secure then then the current 2.0.21 or in NSBB's case 2.0.8. That said, it's an opinion and not a fact. :wink:

 

 

By the way, I would get rid of your version number on the bottom. Hackers google "Powered by phpBB 2.0.8" to find vulnerable boards.

I've been stuck at 2.0.8 with Premium because of the work involved to reinstall all the mods in that UI. I've been updating the regular UI as the releases have come out.

I hear you with the mod thing, I got stuck on 2.0.19 because of them. Even though 3 is a lot less cohesive my goal with 3 is to do as little modding as possible to insure I can upgrade to the most current release.

In all seriousness, nothing. In fact they'll be gaining some really nice features because phpBB3 added almost all the most popular mods. For instance the default v3 user control panel has more features then your premium version. Even little mods like word wrap and happy birthday greetings are there.

 

BTW, the Admin control panel is going to rock your world.
