I'm going to this game... my first one ever at Turner Field! I am down there for a wedding, so it's an added bonus that I get to see the Cubs, and even a nicer treat to get to see the great Rich Hill in action!

Are any of you familiar with the park... is there anything I should eat or try to do while I'm there? And how about afterwards... I think we already have some plans (which don't include the Patrick Ewing mainstay, the Gold Club) afterwards, but if there are any bars in the Atlanta area that you found to be particularly fun, feel free to pass along a name.

The ballpark is nowhere near any desirable bar in Atlanta. I'd head for the Highland area to Hand in Hand, Darkhorse, or Atkins Park. Those are just a few and there are also some great restaurants in that area. The Highland (or Midtown) is pretty much the only place I go out when I visit the Atlanta area. Buckhead is a dump now.

Lucky for you it’s Jeff Francoeur t-shirt night. Back on topic if you need a place to park i know a great location that allows you to jump right back on the interstate. The braves parking lots can be confusing and hectic at times. As for bars i could ask my sister who goes to ga tech, but i would recommend going up to buckhead which is about 20 minutes north. Food wise the varsity is atlanta's claim to fame although i don't think its that great (really greasy cheeseburger joint). If you have anymore questions feel free to ask

Nothing really to do around the park, but it's a fairly nice place to watch a game.

If you're into getting autographs, I can tell you where to go. If not, don't worry about it.

I'm curious to know where to go if you don't mind sharing

There was some sort of dive sports bar I really enjoyed going to after Game 5. Probably not worth it during the regular season. I remember the park was pretty nice, but can't think of anything you need to eat.

Not at all. It's on the side of the stadium across the street from the bullpen restaurant. It's one entrance to the south of the employee entrance. They'll be a small barricade there. If it's a 7:00 PM game, the players will start arriving in cabs around 2. Some, though not many, will exit that same spot after the game.

How far is the stadium from the main downtown. I have to go down there the first week of July for my son's Junior Olympics and was thinking of taking the stadium tour if I can find some transportation out there. The Braves, unfortunately, are out of town that week.

The stadium is about a mile from the downtown area. It shouldn't be hard to find a cab to take you down there.

Buckhead is a dump, but quite entertaining. True Atlanta.

Places to visit? Where to start. First and foremost:

TACO MAC!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly:

ANDRETTI!!!!!!

Thirdly:

DAVE AND BUSTERS!!!!!!

And that's what I do in Atlanta every time I go there, and it never gets boring

I was actually going to this series this weekend, but my friend who lives up there works at the Aquarium and they just got two whale sharks in so he's gonna be busy and couldn't accomodate my visit, plus I have to stay in town and go ot a bachelor party.

Sometimes I hate wedding season...... Oh yeah, fourthly:

GEORGIA AQUARIUM!!!!!
