I'm not joking (maybe I kinda am). You may look at Cust's numbers and say "He could be off to a hot start, 7HR in 37AB could be a fluke. His .270 average is nothing to bark at."

 

No, but his 12 walks in those 37AB and his .449OBP is. The dude has 12 walks in 37AB, Derrek Lee has 17BB in 141AB and that's the best on the team. Seriously, why are we so devout of having hitters who can't take a friggin' walk?

 

I know the concept is silly, but I mean....... the Jack Cust Baseball Academy sounds like it could be useful to a lot of guys on this team
