 Indeed b is speculative. but C is fact.

OK, if you're not going to drop this, I'm not going to sit here and let you crap all over me.

Yes, I was acting like the game was over once it was 2-1. It's because the Cubs have not been able to win the mjaority of games this year where they've been down by only 1 run. I, nor any other poster here, said anything bizarre or ridiculous in thinking that the Cubs were not going to come back due to these stats, and especially due to them being even worse with 1-run games when they're at home. Nobody said anything that deserved the kind of responses you've been dishing out all afternoon.

Drop it, as well.

Bad jump by Murton, but I thought he was safe.

Well, he would've been safe if his left leg didn't pop up and miss the bag.

Doesn't really matter, he still got in there, but the throw and tag were just in time if Ozuna held on to the ball.

He is safe, Ozuna dropped the ball.

I meant beat the tag.

Brain cramp right there. He had the out at home.

Can someone check and see if Murton went to the Moises Alou school of Baserunning?

So you're saying the game or wasn't over?

I wasn't even replying to anything you wrote, I commented at JeffH and you came at me.

So if you HAD to pick a pinch-runner in baseball hell, is it Alou or Jacque?

Probably didn't deserve to be called an idiot (which I didn't do) but I think it's ridiculous to think the game is over down one in the 6th. But I try to maintain some semblence of perspective.

I like insurance runs...of course with our bullpen it takes a 7 run lead for it to be safe.

i am not sure that even that would have got it done yesterday

Who would have guessed that on May 18th that our most productive hitters in the lineup would be Theriot and Pagan?

At least Johnny B. left us with those goodies.

Is that Ohman or Dempster coming in? Either way, it is still a save situation.

Your "comment at JeffH" was about me, so don't act surprised that I'd respond.

Not furthering anything here. Just curious as to how?

Why do people like to act as though stats like wins and losses in one run games have any sort of predictive value whatsoever?

Stats like this tell you about the past. They tell you very little, if anything at all, about the future.
