Bit of a strange question, but seeing how Derek Lee has reached base safely in all 31 games thus far, it got me wondering, what is the longest streak for a player safely reaching base in consecutive games? Obviously it's at least Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak at minimum. Just curious if anyone knows.

Can Lee's streak extend back to the end of last season? I don't know if he ended the season with a small streak or not.

Lee went 0-1 as a PH on 9-30. He did not play on 10-1. So he did not have a streak coming into 2007.
